A versatile artist Smt Vidushi Deepika Bushan, disciple of Karnataka Kalathilaka, Dr Vasundhara Doraswamy hails from the heritage city Mysore.

Deepika has successfully completed her Vidwath examination of the SSEB based in Bharathanatyam creditably. She is one of the top grade artist of  Doordarshan TV Chanel India.

Her keen interest and dedication coupled with sincerity and innate talent presented itself at her Arengetram was highly appreciated by all the reowned Gurus and various artists who congratulated Dr Vasundhara in introducing a Star to the world of Bharathanatyam.

 Deepika has performed in several prestigious festivals and sabhas all over India along with her Guru and has given numerous solo performances at the prestigious Dasara festival at  Mysore Palace, Yuva dasara ,Pallavotsavas, ISKON Brahmotsava ,Bengaluru Habba, Lakkundi Utsava of Hubli ,Kanaka Jayanthi at Mysore and Chamarajanagar ,Brahma kumari ,All India Doctors Conference ,The  Rotary  Mysore ,Star Of Mysore annual celebrations, Little Sisters old age home ,Ankura at Bangalore to name a few.

She has performed in  New York Kannada Koota, At bridge water temple New Jersey, She has also taught and choreographed classical and semi classical dance for  AIA Florida  among other places in USA.

Endowed with a pleasing stage presence, Deepika brings to her audience a refreshing presentation of Bharathanatyam, exhibited through her strong sense of scintillating nritta and lively abhinaya. Her abilities were recognized and she has been the recipient of numerous awards at both interschool and  intercollegiate levels, apart from having won all round appreciation and accolades from the press and public.

She has served as a Junior Board Examiner for the Bharatanatyam Examination Board of KSEEB for several years.

 She has received many prizes in dance competitions of State and National level in Hyderabad, Udupi , Bangalore, Mysore etc.

The greatest passion of her’s is Bharathanatyam in which she looks forward to be recognized as a distinguished danseuse under the blessings of her beloved  Guru and to sow the seed of bharathanatyam in Canada.
